These roles are entry level and provide training and development to help you understand the workings of a hedge fund. You will join the Operations team who is responsible for the reconciliation and reporting of the funds' activities post execution. These reconciliations cover trades, positions, and marks against clearing brokers, adjustments for any corporate action and other life-cycle events, and checking fees posted by brokers against those computed internally. These processes are critical in ensuring that traders base their decisions on the correct start-of-day positions, and that returns reported to investors are based on confirmed and validated activity. As you can imagine the risk exposure is huge and you will genuinely feel like you are impacting the trading of the fund.
To be considered for these roles you must be a 2018/2019 graduate with standout academic – 2.1 or a 1st in an analytical degree from a reputable university and whilst we are looking for ambition we are not considering candidates who want to be in the front office. Attitude is critical; we are looking for people who are hungry to learn from the bottom up and get their head down to work hard.
Please send your CV as soon as possible to firstname.lastname@example.org if you meet the above criteria.
