Our client is a leading and specialist player in the Private Equity sector. An experienced, fully qualified accountant is required. This person will have prior Private Equity fund accounting experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). A great opportunity work in a small team in a very broad and challenging role. Responsible for oversight of all fund financial information prepared by administrators.
Assist with building a more robust process on the administrators oversight process.
Planning and coordinating of the annual audit for 170+ funds.
Be one of the main point of contacts from the Fund Accounting team for auditors and administrators
Representing the Fund Accounting team at meetings
Assist with answering any accounting questions and advising on accounting treatments.
Monitor changes in the accounting standards relevant to the Funds.
Assist with the finalisation of accounting policy memorandum.
Review of carry calculations prepared by administrators.
Assist with on-boarding process for new funds with respect to carry calculations and other accounting related matters.
Assist with the review monthly NAV and newsletter for a listed investment trust.
Assist with the review of internal control process and control documentation.
Reviewing tasks performed by junior team members.
Assist with providing technical training to junior team members and other teams.
Assist with Ad hoc projects as assigned
You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
You must have requisite Private Equity experience
Ideally have knowledge around either IFRS or US GAAP
Experience could be gained from another Private Equity firm, from a 3rd party administrator or from an accounting/audit firm
Be a good team player, someone able to liaise confidently at all levels
