Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that reduce bad debts and increase recovery using SAS
Perform segmentation analysis and data driven analyses via SAS to formulate new strategies
Implement strategies developed
Identify opportunities to develop/ improve forecasting models for collections planning
Obtain data from multiple sources to create integrated views that can be used to drive business decision making
Deep dive analyses to investigate shift in portfolio segmentation or customer behavioural trends
Provide MIS support, track and analyse portfolio performances to track the efficiency and effectiveness of collections strategies adopted
Ensure timely and accurate submission of department daily and monthly reporting of portfolio and credit loss performance to Management as well as external stakeholders, including regulatory reporting requirements
Monitor and improve the tracking of collectors' performance.
Monitor collections expense on a monthly basis and assist with annual budget forecast. Maintain monthly capacity model and carry out yearly capacity planning
Assist Collection department in automating any existing manual process or reports.
Budgeting and ICAAP/stress testing exercise
Work closely with external vendor to ensure smooth system functionality
Actively participate and support in system and process enhancement initiatives to ensure successful implementation
Provide the necessary UAT support required for any system migrations or enhancements which will impact the reporting or MIS functions
Collections Project as assigned
A degree holder with minimum 1 to 5 years' experience in a reputable financial institution
Hands on technical experience mining and analysing large datasets with a working knowledge in SAS or SQL & Python
Understanding of global standard credit and collection fundamentals in a financial institution is an added advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Access
Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good inter-personal and communication skills
