They are looking for a highly motivated graduate or MBA student with 3-5 years of relevant work experience, interested in joining a small, entrepreneurial, multinational team on a full-time basis with ambitions to develop into a partner in the fund over time.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the founding partners with all aspects of fund management, including legal documentation, fundraising and investor due diligence
Assisting with the drafting of general marketing materials
Conducting market research on the restaurant industry and potential investment targets
Assisting the team with identifying and sourcing of investment opportunities in wider the food service and related consumer and technology sectors, and developing and maintaining the deal flow pipeline
Performing preliminary evaluation of potential portfolio investments, including building financial models and performing sensitivity, comparative company and benchmarking analyses
Assisting in due diligence and transaction execution of new investments
Creating internal investment process templates and drafting investment committee reports and presentations
Portfolio management activities, including preparing company reports, assisting with operational initiatives, and evaluating strategic options and exit scenarios
The ideal candidate is a smart and ambitious individual with an outstanding academic track-record and a genuine interest in the restaurant/food industry, who has already collected relevant work experience. Minimum requirements include:
3-5 years of work experience with reputable companies in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, strategy consulting or Corporate Finance (Big Four), with significant involvement in analysing a variety of companies and business models, ideally in the consumer/retail/food service sectors; or experience in finance, treasury, business development or M&A departments in a large restaurant chain or food retail company
Strong quantitative/analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Financial modelling
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Fluency in in English required, with German and/or French ideal
Entrepreneurial mind-set, strategic and creative thinking
Team and results-oriented with ability to work independently and prioritise workload
Please be aware that even though they have made a first 'Flag ship' investment they are all taking low salaries until the fund is raised (expected Jan 2020) , Salaries will increase to market rate after first close (£100k plus).
