III. Asia Quantitative Research
The Asia Quant team in Equity Research is seeking talented, self-motivated, and hard-working candidates in Hong Kong, both associate and VP level, to conduct innovative research projects.
Build tools to query, clean, analyze raw data through databases to ensure data quality;
Develop and implement statistics models by backtesting the efficacies of various trading patterns;
Explore and evaluate in-house signals and alternative data to gain insights into new alpha;
Publish leading research insight notes; and
Partner closely with sales & trading, presenting to both internal and external clients.
Advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or finance;
Minimum 3 years of experience in statistics/econometrics modeling, proficiency working with large dataset, machine learning, data mining, and numerical methods;
Strong programming skills including Q/kdb, Python, R, Matlab;
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills; able to decompose complex problems into manageable pieces;
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present quant solutions clearly to both internal and external clients;
Team oriented; able to collaborate with a range of functional teams and resolve conflicts as necessary; and
Knowledge/experience in equity factor model and fundamental research a plus.
