As the Investment Manager/ Portfolio Analyst you will work with the members of the Alternative Strategies team, the primary advisor Aksia, Investment Managers, and other colleagues at Sunsuper to devise, implement and manage nominated investments within our ongoing Alternative Strategies investment program.
To ensure success you will possess:
Tertiary qualification, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, law, mathematics or a related discipline.
Lateral thinker, clear strategic thinker with an ability to turn sensible thoughts into action.
Advanced analytical and numerical skills, including advanced skills in Excel and other relevant financial software.
Applies investment and financial markets knowledge and experience in the assessment of investment opportunities. Specific experience in Alternatives (Hedge Funds) or Credit is required.
Strong teamwork, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills.
Effective presentation, verbal and report writing skills.
5+ years of financial services or investment industry experience.
Demonstrates sound familiarisation with the market environment.
Effective goal-oriented scheduling skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage resources (time, people, budget) to achieve objectives.
Applies effective qualitative and quantitative techniques and can interpret outputs to arrive at recommendations.
