Business Unit Overview: GSO Capital Partners LP is the global credit investment platform of Blackstone. Our credit segment, which consists principally of GSO, has approximately $132 billion of assets under management. GSO is one of the largest alternative managers in the world focused on the leveraged-finance, or non-investment grade related, marketplace. Job Description: GSO is one of the world's largest credit-oriented alternative asset managers, with a focus on delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns and capital preservation for our clients. The GSO Finance Portfolio Analytics and Reporting team prepares performance and attribution reporting as well as regulatory reporting across the GSO fund platform which includes RIC vehicles, hybrid and PE funds. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and enhancing GSO's quarterly private fund track records including calculating investment metrics such as levered/unlevered IRR and MOIC at the fund and investment level
Coordinating the production of monthly returns and attribution for GSO funds with monthly investor reporting
Preparing materials for Blackstone SEC reporting, regulatory reporting (Form PF, AIFMD, Solvency II) and quarterly investor letters
Working directly with Portfolio Analysts on performance related requests
Partnering with Investor Relations, Business Development and Accounting teams on LP deliverables, DDQ, and fundraising requests
Preparing ad hoc financial analyses requested by senior management and/or deal teams
Oversee, review and make corrections to daily reporting based on the daily reconciliations between fund accounting team, operations and third party administrators to ensure the data integrity of trade and accounting information
Produce daily and weekly reporting for the firm's BDC and related SMAs
Benchmark tracking for both private equity and hedge fund comparisons
Developing automated and streamlined workflows
Review P&L, FMV, positions, and accruals for accuracy
Review daily cash, position P&L reconciliation between brokers and the GSO data warehouse sent by operations
Review pricing of investments and associated SPVs to ensure accuracy
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
4-5 years' experience with prior fund accounting experience required with exposure to both hedge funds and private equity
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
Possesses a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, a positive attitude
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Exceptionally strong excel skills
Experience with various credit financial instruments (loans, revolvers, bonds, repos, CDS and other derivatives)
CPA a plus
