The Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) Global Client Coverage Management Team has been recently established to bring greater focus to client coverage and sales management disciplines, to create and commercialize sharper value propositions for specific industry / client segments, to further enhance our capabilities and services for multinational companies and continued talent development for our bankers
The Industry Verticals and Client Segments Strategy Head will work closely with the Global Head of Client Coverage Management to articulate, develop and commercialize industry / client segment coverage strategies at a global, region and country level. The successful candidate for this high impact role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills and an exceptional understanding of the commercial banking landscape including current and emerging industry trends. The individual will provide leadership and expertise on informing, solving and driving the execution of the most critical Client Segment / Industry strategies for the Global CCB.
Key responsibilities include:
Evaluate the internal and external business environment, in partnership with the business leaders to develop an overall vision and execution plan for Industry / Client Segment strategies for CCB
Partner with the CCB regions, Marketing, Product, CLM and Risk partners to identify and accelerate growth opportunities in industry verticals / client segments, create differentiated value propositions, facilitate the development of industry expertise / insights, project the same externally and internally through multiple forums and success transfer best practices
Enhance sales disciplines and reinforce Industry / Client Segment focus by creating Sales Reports and facilitating regular reviews
Act as Senior Coverage on key industry names and help resolve complex transactions where required
Create feedback loops with clients, bankers, industry participants to continuously enhance industry expertise / solutions
Monitor industry, client, and competitive trends and developments

12 - 15 years of management experience in, Commercial Banking Investment Banking, Transaction Banking or Consulting with expertise in financial services

Experience leading cross-functional / matrix teams, through a clear and consistent line of sight regarding critical work activities
Experience managing virtual teams
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Travel approximately 30%
