We are looking for Regulatory Capital Calculation Controller Team Lead for our Budapest Office
Regulatory Controllers are responsible for prudential reporting towards regulators with global coverage: preparation, analysis and review of various regulatory capital calculation requirements including Credit and Counterparty Risk, Leverage, Market Risk and Own Funds/Eligible Capital. The team investigates drivers of material movements in calculation variables, partner with the reporting team to explain and validate daily, monthly and quarterly variances in capital numbers.
Reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Controllers Team Lead in Budapest, the main responsibility is to: - Actively manage the deployment of roles to Budapest and the development of the Budapest team - Develop understanding of key Regulatory rules requirements (European & US rule sets) and ensure proper application to various processes/calculations - Partner with the reporting team to explain and validate daily, monthly and quarterly variances in capital numbers - Manage the priorisation, execution and review across all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables - Build effective relationships within the Global Regulatory team and with stakeholders across the Firm - Challenging processes and procedures, enhance controls and support strategic development of firm systems - Support self-assessment exercises and internal reviews - Support maintenance and development of documentation in line with best practice guidelines

- Hold an Accounting/Finance/Math degree or equivalent - Relevant work experience in the financial services industry (regulatory reporting, financial and product control, liquidity, Treasury) - Min. 4 years of working experience - Have experience with managing a small team - Be highly numerate with a close attention to detail - Have proven skills in investigating complex data issues and discover root causes - Excellent Microsoft Excel skills - Have the flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines - Have the ability to work effectively within a local and global team - Strong commitment to developing their own skills - Have a knowledge of financial products and regulatory capital/reporting rules/landscape is an advantage - Be proficient in data mining is an advantage
