The Business We're hiring a Futures Analyst to join NatWest Markets in Manchester
The Futures Operations team provides dedicated and complex operational support to the NatWest Markets Business, and is considered to be the centre of expertise for the Futures product and industry, operationally, within the bank
In having ownership of the full operational lifecycle for the Futures Business, the team here in Manchester is able to resolve issues and queries as well as preventing and identifying risk in a timely manner

What you'll do
This role in NatWest Markets represents an opportunity to learn about a widely used financial product with global implications. You can expect exposure to a range of exchanges and brokers from around the world, and to a variety of internal stakeholders. You'll be joining a business which places huge emphasis on learning and development, and will have lots of opportunity for personal and professional growth
As an analyst in the department, your responsibilities will include:
Rapidly gaining a detailed understanding of the front-to-back trade flows across various Futures exchanges and internal systems, allowing you to competently perform the processes and related activities in a given team
Investigating breaks swiftly and diligently, taking immediate action to resolve the issue
Liaising with internal stakeholders to conduct root cause analysis to identify areas to improve our processes and systems in pursuit of increased control, efficiency and client satisfaction
Meeting tight deadlines to identify and, where necessary, escalate breaks to mitigate all risk and prevent loss to the company in line with the team Escalation Matrix
Monitoring and processing expiry trades that have gone to delivery with Exchanges in line with strict deadlines
Holding a Commercial awareness and risk-focused attitude that is evidenced in decision making and BAU
The skills you'll need
You'll need excellent communication skills, and to have had exposure to a client facing environment. You should have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards, with strong numeric, analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
You'll also need:
Excellent Excel skills and proficiency across the full suite of Microsoft Office applications
The ability to interface and influence at all levels
To be flexible and able to adapt to changing business and departmental priorities
Knowledge of Futures markets and Products
