The role involves project and change management responsibility for the Transfer Agency operational units in the region and will be based in Hong Kong, focused on planning, execution and timely delivery of all phases of projects assigned.
The Transfer Agency Department is primarily responsible for the accurate maintenance of the fund and shareholder register, accurate capture and reporting of investor dealings in funds for which Citi has been appointed Transfer Agent.
This senior position is in the Transfer Agency operations unit of the Global Funds Services division and it represents a fantastic opportunity for the individual with experience in the funds industry and is looking for an opportunity to advance in a fast growing dynamic organization.
To work as part of the Senior Global Change Management Team, with an immediate focus to integrate the AsiaPAC TA Change Body of Work (BOW) into the Global Change Operating Model.
Key participant in strategic technical infrastructure planning for Client BAU changes, Change Management Projects and Corporate STP and Migration objectives The role will involve managing, planning and working with a team and multiple stakeholders.
Delivery of Global Productivity and strategic initiatives.
Ensure alignment of project and operational resources against client and internal business strategic objectives.
Management of key client relationships and senior internal stakeholders from a change perspective across the AsiaPAC region.
Work with the senior management team in the growth of the TA business across locations in AsiaPAC and also to consolidate locations.

This role will be a senior role with ongoing engagement with the senior management team.
The successful candidate will work with the Operational Management teams, Product Management, Technology and Client Executives to support a strategy to grow the Transfer Agency operation globally, with particular initial focus on the AsiaPAC Market.
Ensuring there is clear focus on the co-ordination of the Global TA Change BOW by extensive planning and alignment of Global project resources.
The successful candidate will play a key role for managing the execution of all strategic change initiatives in AsiaPAC across our TA Operations platforms, including process re-engineering and automation.
Key Responsibilities of the Candidate:
Management of senior project stakeholders.
Responsibility for the strategic planning & delivery of TA projects in AsiaPAC markets.
Implement standardized, best practice project management processes across all in scope projects in the region
Responsibility for the delivery of projects in line with Global PMO & TA Change management standards and Procedures.
Ensure appropriate approval are in place in order to initialize projects. Liaise with Risk & Compliance, Legal and other senior stakeholders.
Requirements gathering (including facilitation of workshops) & documentation of business requirements and end to end operating models.
Develop and manage close partnership with Technology, Vendors, Product & other areas of the organization.
Responsible for the delivery of Operational Readiness in preparation for go-live.
Work as part of the wider change project team on strategic TA system upgrades.
Ensure high quality, consistent and regular MIS and reporting of AsiaPAC BOW.
Develop a communication strategy for AsiaPAC BOW that effectively maintains engagement with internal and external stakeholders
Implement a formal approach to benefit realization & tracking.
Contribute to decision making process around strategic re-engineering initiatives in partnership with the business and technology, ensuring maximum alignment with a standardized operating model for clients.
Represent AsiaPAC projects in the Global prioritization forums.
Work with the other members of the TA Management Team to ensure an appropriate balance is maintained between speed of change, versus operational stability and quality delivery.

Minimum five years funds experience, preferably in a Transfer Agency or Fund services industry.
This position requires an individual with a proven record of delivering complex work-streams & projects within an operational environment.
Extensive industry experience in Fund Administration in a Project Management/Lead Business Analyst /Technology/vendor role.
Demonstrable understanding of Transfer Agency processes.
Excellent Understanding of project management methodologies.
Experience in planning & execution of UAT, including working with offshore UAT teams.
Strong background & understanding of System Development Lifecycle.
Industry knowledge of the region a benefit.
Previous experience working with client/system migrations would be helpful.

Ability to demonstrate good leadership & judgment.

Project management certification by a reputable organization (i.e. PRINCE II or PMP) preferred or a relevant third level qualification. Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
