With the risk management and regulatory compliance environment becoming increasingly complex your role will provide a range of pragmatic and technical support services to Risk Management and Compliance functions within the Investment Management & Wealth sectors. The focus of the role will be to support or lead on interesting projects where we help clients design, build and implement risk management and regulatory frameworks in addition to helping firms anticipate and understand the impacts of regulatory and policy change on their business. You will also have the opportunity to develop propositions and client relationships with leading Investment Managers across the UK
As an Assistant Manager you will have responsibility for: â€¢Proactively working with new and existing clients to deliver high quality advice and output across a range of areas including (but not limited to) risk management and compliance operating models, the risk management and compliance transformation agenda, risk management and compliance frameworks (across a range of risk classes), processes and methodologies, and regulatory compliance. â€¢To act as a subject matter expert in providing advice and supporting clients in implementing regulatory change initiatives. â€¢Support the leadership and growth of the Investment Management & Wealth team by contributing to proposition and solution developments, and taking these to clients. â€¢Supporting internal initiatives around practice management (account team meetings, staff development and internal training) â€¢Leading several engagements simultaneously and managing client expectations. â€¢Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution â€¢Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; having a clear understanding of the firmâ€™s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

Hours This is a Permanent Full-Time role with a degree of flexibility. The role is based in Edinburgh but the successful candidate will be expected to deliver projects and develop client relationships across the UK, therefore a significant part of the role will require travel nationally.
Your Professional Experience
â€¢Degree and / or relevant professional qualification, and significant relevant consulting and / or industry experience within the Investment Management & Wealth sector â€¢Proven track record in understanding and interpreting regulation within the Investment Management & Wealth sector. â€¢Strong technical knowledge of the PRAâ€™s and FCA's regulatory frameworks as applied to the Investment Management & Wealth sector. â€¢Knowledge of latest regulatory developments and key conduct issues facing regulated firms. â€¢An understanding the impact of regulatory developments on clients and the delivery of client projects. â€¢Ability to develop solutions and value adding propositions and taking these to market. â€¢Experience of providing implementation and technical services where remediation is required. â€¢Ability to identifying developing and converting sales opportunities through an extensive industry network. â€¢Strong relationship management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills â€¢Ability to work under own initiative
