This role is not for the faint hearted. It is for legal pioneers who have glimpsed the future of law and who are determined to be amongst the first to stake their claim. We are setting up a Corporate & Commercial legal team within Deloitte from scratch. Our first goal is to build a market-leading corporate reorganisation business leveraging off the first class multidisciplinary advice Deloitte already provides to a stellar list of clients in the UK and around the globe. We will employ technology and great know-how to deliver a high-quality work product more competitively. By doing so, we will build a beachhead from which to launch further groundbreaking legal advisory businesses. Your role This is an opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer with the right mix of attitude, vision, experience, skills and drive to help build an important part of an intra-group focussed Corporate & Commercial legal business within an exciting and dynamic environment at Deloitte. The role focusses on high quality legal delivery while we develop our new business model. We see our lawyers transitioning from this role to one focussed on winning work and being a trusted legal advisor to Deloitteâ€™s clients.
Our business We are now setting up teams in London, Reading, Birmingham and Manchester, with other offices to follow shortly after. In its first couple of years, the Corporate & Commercial team will focus almost exclusively on intra-group work won with the Deloitte Tax team, although it will seek to broaden the source and scope of its work over time by building new propositions and seeking opportunities across the rest of Deloitte. We will serve a broad cross-section of Deloitte clients on domestic and cross-border projects across the full range of size, complexity and value.
The team will be structured for strong revenue growth, efficient delivery, and the quick development of internal referral networks and strong client relationships. It will seek to quickly introduce smart, technology-enabled delivery models, which will allow us to build innovative new propositions in the next few years.
