The fast-growing M&A Operations team focuses on the operational aspects throughout the transaction lifecycle, including pre-deal operational due diligence, synergy and carve-out assessments, divestments, pre-deal full potential assessments and 100 day plans. The team comprises of highly experienced practitioners with a background in operations management, transformation implementation and the operational elements of acquisitions and divestments, and is a core part of Deloitte's market-leading M&A Transaction Services group. Collectively we are a group of over 300 London-based professionals who provide M&A related expertise to corporate organisations, private equity houses and financial institutions. We are widely recognised as the most experienced, dedicated team in EMEA, supporting transactions across all industry sectors. Your role Your role will be to provide operational M&A expertise to corporate organisations, private equity houses and financial institutions across all sectors. You will deliver services ranging across carve-out assessments, performance improvement evaluations, operational due diligence, 100-day planning and synergy development and review assignments.Â Our clients are the worldâ€™s leading companies and private equity firms. You will have the opportunity to work on market-leading M&A transactions at a UK, European and Global level, including significant interaction with Deloitte and other advisers teams from around the world.
The Assistant Manager will have responsibility for:Â â€¢Providing corporate and private equity clients with both the buy and sell side transaction operational due diligence â€¢Assisting corporate and private equity clients in understanding the true operational capability of potential acquisition targets as well as existing owned businesses â€¢Working with corporate and private equity clients in the assessment and review of potential merger synergies, the impact and complexities of carve-outs on vendor and target organisations and the stand-alone performance improvement potential of buy-outs and corporate divestments â€¢Working with colleagues from Transaction Services (Financial Due Diligence), Financial Advisory, Consulting and the broader Deloitte network, to provide our clients with a holistic due diligence service with a coherent overview of the business operations, performance gaps and the potential for rapid improvementÂ â€¢Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution â€¢Support the development of key documents for a transaction e.g. red flag reports, due diligence reports and financial / operational databooks â€¢Engage with colleagues and client senior management to support the completion of the engagement scopeÂ
