The Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organisation is instrumental in protecting and ensuring the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank's data and IT systems by managing information and cyber security (ICS) risk across the enterprise. As a critical function reporting into the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the Office of the CISO serves as the second line of defence for assuring ICS controls are implemented effectively and in accordance with the ICS Risk Framework and for instilling a culture of cyber security within the Bank. The Group CISO is responsible for ICS governance, strategy, policy, awareness, training, risk assessments, red teaming, third party security risk, industry partnerships, and regulatory engagement. In addition, a team of Information Security Officers (ISO) and Information Security (IS) Risk Managers reports to the CISO and performs a pivotal role as an extension of the CISO in supporting the ICS risk management strategy, governance, advisory and assurance roles that face off to the Client Services, Regions, and Functions. The Office of the CISO is central to ensuring the Bank's ability to meet its ICS commitments to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, as well as maintaining an acceptable ICS risk profile that is regularly reported to the Board.
The Role Responsibilities In view of the ever-evolving information and cyber security (ICS) landscape, a targeted and relevant communications programme for increasing information security awareness amongst employees and executives in the Bank, as well as external stakeholders is crucial for the implementation of information security, and offers great opportunities for a communications professional seeking to make a real difference in a progressive multinational environment.
To support this initiative, the ICS Training, Awareness and Exercises team under the Group CISO (Group Chief Information Security Officer) function is seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and creative ICS Communications Specialist with advanced writing and communications skills in English, to be based in Kuala Lumpur.
Main Purpose of Job: This role is aimed at supporting the ICS awareness communications and reporting programmes, Group-wide. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, ICS Training, Awareness and Exercises (Awareness) team, the incumbent for this role will serve the objectives of the Team's function in the following global work streams:
Group CISO Branding and Communications - Assist with Group CISO Branding - produce brand guidelines, document, update brand identity elements and enforce brand rules when in use, manage communications templates, and provide end to end communications support.
Executive ICS Engagement Programme - Support the development and implementation of the Bank's Executive ICS Engagement Programme, including training content. Provide end-to-end support for all Executive Communications and reporting initiatives.
Group CISO Employee Engagement Programme - Coordinate and organise the Group CISO H1/H2 Townhalls and Big Calls. Develop CISO Playbook and Stakeholder Playbook which help tell the Group CISO story to internal and external stakeholders.
Digital Platforms - Support the management and update of the Group CISO bridge and sharepoint platforms
Cyber Crisis Communications - Assist with updating the Cyber Crisis Communications Addendum for crisis communications in the Bank.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Working with the Senior Communications Manager, the Communication Specialist will -
*Assist with managing an integrated/targeted communications plan, and Group CISO brand guidelines in alignment with Standard Chartered corporate brand guidelines, complete with templates/toolkit where applicable for all of Group CISO to follow. Develop and/or enhance Group CISO formats for communications, publications and reporting and create communications guidelines for CISO teams to follow. Includes managing distribution lists, communications channels etc. *Develop and/or oversee the development of creative content and materials (collaterals, infographics, newsletters, EDMs, interactives, CISO Playbook, presentation packs, bridge banners etc) in support of ICS Awareness initiatives in accordance to calendar. *Manage and execute a relevant editorial calendar by creating targeted and global articles to promote key security messages on the Bridge (digital sharing platform). Includes managing all relevant security content updates, communications uploads and supporting CISO team bridge managers with space management, layouts and editorial work as required to ensure the highest standards of publishing are consistently met. *Develop and manage the Group CISO sharepoint platform for optimal document storage and sharing outcomes. *Support the implementation the Executive ICS Engagement plan, including executive Communication, reports and presentations and Cyber masterclass training events targeted at Bank executives. Track and report participants accordingly. *Collate information from all Group CISO units, prepare and submit various publications as entailed in the communications plan. *Organise Group CISO internal staff engagement events such as Townhalls and Big Calls, coordinate the Group CISO rewards and recognition programme, and implement other initiatives within the Group CISO employee engagement programme. *Update all identified communications touchpoints /platforms with relevant CISO messaging and content as per integrated Communications plan, especially on the theBridge (a collaboration platform within the Bank) *Support the communications needs of Group CISO by assisting teams with review of general communications to stakeholders to ensure clear communication which is on-brand at all time, and support channeling of communications throughout the Bank. *Other Duties as Required

Experience, Skills & Qualification: *Minimum of 5-7 years experience in internal/external communications, corporate communications, cross-cultural communications, training/development, branding, corporate writing, social media management and publishing, and event organisation in a corporate and/or creative agency environment. Multinational corporation experience is a plus.
*Advanced writing, communication and publishing skills in English, with high competency in MS Office software (Word, Powerpoint, Excel). Graphic design skills would be an added advantage.
*Advanced MS Sharepoint skills
*A reasonably competent level of understanding of information technology and user-oriented information security.
*A Diploma/ Degree in a related field. Extended years of advanced writing & communication experience may be considered in lieu.
*Proven track record of excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to deliver under intense pressure.
