The Associate will be responsible to execute the sales strategy in order to grow our Alternatives business and assets under management. The Associate will provide sales support and enablement to relationship managers and other BAS team members.
Developing product and market fluency across BlackRock's alternative product suite with specific emphasis on the firm's credit and hedge fund offerings.
Partnering with relationship managers and BAS team members to drive opportunities. This includes gathering critical client background, tailoring product messaging to resonate with clients throughout the sales process, and providing sales support on follow-up and due diligence efforts.
Partnering with key stakeholders to support the development of product sales campaigns, and lead the execution of those campaigns.
Segmenting the investor universe, identifying target prospects and managing the prospect pipeline per product.
Developing and executing targeted roadshows aligned with the sales campaign.
Understanding the sales collateral needed for RMs to effectively sell the product and developing those materials in partnership with other teams.
Partnering with BlackRock's Global Consultant Relations team on consultant engagement to ensure alignment with target prospects.
Partnering with Marketing to design high impact events and determine appropriate conference participation, with a focus on leveraging these engagements and thought leadership to build BlackRock's brand and create commercial opportunities.
Partnering with internal teams, as necessary, to onboard clients.
Experience in institutional fundraising and strong understanding of the asset management sales process as it relates to institutional investors.
Sales background, with the ability to drive results in an autonomous working environment and in close collaboration with colleagues across business units.
Track record of building strong internal and external relationships and being viewed as a "trusted partner".
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate product and platform characteristics to internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to lead by example – high ethical standards and strong work ethic.
