About The Role Role Location: Melbourne Role Type: 12-month Secondment Opportunity
As the Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will assist the Head of Strategic Initiatives and Change with APRA remediation deliverables specifically enhancement to portfolio monitoring (reviews) and simplification of credit risk processes (origination) by utilising the Retail automated techniques and systems, to improve risk management practices and reduce operational costs, whilst maintaining compliance with prudential requirements.
About You To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Quantitative Degree in statistics, actuarial, econometrics, mathematics, operations research or related field or demonstrated extensive work experience in strategy development and analytics
SAS/Matlab/R/SQL programming and excel skills are essential
Minimum 3 year experience with credit risk management (retail or wholesale) or modelling. Good understanding of credit metrics is needed
Able to work under tight schedules and consistently meet objectives
Strong written and verbal communications skills (PowerPoint, Word)
Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
