As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will collaborate closely with the Business and Management to provide advisory legal support to various business areas. This position will be responsible for providing both day-to-day and strategic legal support to country-level markets and regional projects to ensure the continued and sustainable growth of the company's growth-orientated business.
This role will have lead transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals, and provide ongoing legal advice to senior executives and business team members.
In this role, you will use your professional and commercial judgement, as well as significant experience to:
Independently structure, review, negotiate and draft a wide range of significant contracts – including customer colocation service agreements, lease agreements, technology developments contracts, consultancy agreements and other general commercial contracts with varying levels of complexity.
Provide legal advice to the business on a variety of issues, and identifying and managing legal risk across various areas
Make sound commercial decisions on a day-to-day basis even in complex and ambiguous situations.
Provide general legal advice on any Technology and/or Intellectual Property issues (data privacy, trade secrets, copyright etc) that may arise from the company's customised equipment, products and technology.
Manage external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions across APAC
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company's operations, technologies and products/services
Provide legal advice that is accurate, practical and easy to understand to non-legal staff
Pick up on complex legal issues and propose feasible solutions to the business
Provide legal advisory support and training where necessary for the company's operations
Provide input and support on their global and regional initiatives and projects on an ad hoc basis.
Excellent drafting and negotiating skills

Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide strategic value add.
Preferred candidate will have a law degree from an accredited law school and passed the bar / hold a license to practice law from a recognised jurisdiction.
The candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years post-qualification experience.
In-house experience with a company in a similar industry will be looked upon favourably.
Candidates from law firms who have very strong generalist corporate experience, commercial acumen and a desire to work closer with the business, and be solutions-oriented are very welcome to apply.
Regional experience across APAC or relevant experience with data centre contracts is a plus.
