Leadership responsibilities of the Client Portfolio Management function; with a primary focus on developing distribution for Invesco Greatwall (IGW) managed product suite globally.Work closely with the Head of Investments and project team at IGW to form and implement China A-share Go-to-Market strategy with the aim of building a franchise and reputation as of the of the strongest China A-share equity teams among overseas investors globally.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Builds strong, effective relationships with the global sales force supporting their efforts to execute an effective sales strategy for IGW capabilities
Drives business growth by interfacing with key clients, brokers and consultants to promote IGW products
Lead conduit between IGW Investment team and sales force in order to directly contribute to closing sale opportunities and increasing AUM
Direct ownership and accountability for attributable financial success via product specific revenue and AUM growth
Be charged to promote the IGW brand and through leadership through regular media exposures, speaking at conferences, authoring papers and feature articles.With deep investment and product knowledge, he/she will also assist and support product management in contributing to investment presentations, edit/author regular investment reports.
Cultivate consultant relationships
Understand the clients' needs for China onshore markets, and to offer thoughtful solutions
Keep update on competitor's landscape and what is of strategic importance
Strong experience (5-10 years) in A-share Equity investment
Deep understanding of the investment process of the team to answer for RFPs in a professional manner
Skilled in client meetings, ability to representing the investment term externally to clients, prospects and consultants, and deployed at prospect and cross-sell pitches to win business
Candidate must be capable of representing portfolio managers across a wide array of asset classes in meetings with internal and external parties
Experience and knowledge to be able to clearly articulate portfolio strategy and market outlook of China A-share
Demonstrated success as a leader, mentor and developer of people preferably in a senior leadership position
Excellent interpersonal skills ad ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships
Excellent written and oral communications in English and Chinese Mandarin a must
Positive attitude, highly driven and self-motivated
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Willingness to travel extensively
Master's degree (or equivalent educational qualification) in finance, economics, math or other business-related field of study preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required.
