You will be part of the Commodities and Global Markets Compliance team and be the primary point of contact covering Asia's Equity Capital Solutions compliance matters while addressing regional regulatory requirements, assessing policies and procedures, and addressing regulatory change across the region. You will also be involved in covering other private-side of Commodities and Global Market's origination and financing business activities in Asia.
Your key responsibilities will include providing compliance advice to Equities Capital Solutions in Asia such as IPOs, market sounding, placements and syndication and participate in deal review and ensuring that compliance risks arising in the business' activities are appropriately addressed and managed.
You will also be responsible for addressing regulatory change across Asia, and a big part of this role will be managing the conflicts clearance and escalation process and developing, reviewing policies and procedures. You will be the Equities and Capital Markets subject matter expert when producing and delivering training on Compliance policies and engaging with the regulators.
To succeed in this role, you will most likely have legal or regulatory experience gained within an investment bank, in particular Capital Markets, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and a solid understanding of Asia's regulatory environment.
It will be important that you understand business drivers and a strategic capability to harmonise compliance process with business needs. Your superior communication and stakeholder management skills will be essential to relationship management and persuasiveness.
