The Loan Servicing Group is in charge of the booking and the administration of the loans for Societe Generale New York branch. The department comprises with 2 main groups the closers responsible for setting up the deal in the bank's system (LIQ) and the servicers who actually manage the loan administration: notices, funding, interests & fees.
Distributes tasks to the team and manages the priorities daily (and if needed reallocates during the day).
Identifies and implements processes improvement.
Setup and monitors of his team's indicators on a daily basis to ensure open cash breaks ,Suspense / Open items / Pastdue / Accts Recievables are well managed and cleared timely.
Review, verify, and authorize daily loan transactions
Perform analysis and reconciliation of fee and interest accruals
Be responsible for booking loans including Money Market, Bid, Commercial Paper, Non-performing and Direct/Agented facilities
Prepare notices of activities to fax to all participants/customers for loan confirmation
Preparation/review of loan forms related to booking of new borrowings, increases, rollovers, pay-downs, commitment reductions, etc., prior to obtaining loan officer approval signatures
Responsible for the daily transfer of loan proceeds
Prepare interest and fee billings on all direct/agented loans, billing the customers and send pro-rata shares to the participants
Booking of risk participation's sold
Process interest, commitment fees and investigate discrepancies when necessary
Preparation/posting of GL entries as required
Review various system generated reports to ensure proper monitoring of the facilities.
Profile TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in Loan IQ
Knows the loan products, principles of cash payments in USD and foreign currencies.
Strong Reconciliation Skills
Strong working knowledge of Excel
LIQ Loan System
Strong analytical skills, reconciliation skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in an independent fashion
Strong time management/organizational skills
Team player Desired/Plus:
Fluency in French
Minimum 10 years prior experience in Commercial Lending using the LoanIQ application
Demonstrated exposure in supporting variety of portfolios (both as participant and agent)
Knowledge of Financial Products (Especially Loans, Guarantee and Stand by Letter of Credit etc.). Desired/Plus:
International banking experience
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
