Ossiam is looking to expand its Research and Investment team, currently comprised of nine financial professionals. The main objectives of the team are: (i) creating rule-based quantitative investment strategies; (ii) structuring investment products; and (iii) performing day-to-day management of the funds (mainly ETFs) and custom mandates.
The successful candidate will operate in the team as Junior Portfolio Manager and participate in the day-to-day managements of the funds managed by Ossiam.
His main responsibilities will include:
Trading on behalf of the funds in various asset classes: equities, bonds, futures, FXs, etc...
Daily management of the funds and mandates: portfolio adjustments linked to rebalancings or subscription/redemption orders (for both physically and synthetically replicated funds), hedging of FX exposure, etc...
Continuous interaction with the Portfolio Management Support team to ensure smooth operations
Continuous interactions with the main operational contacts: transfer agents, Authorized Participants, brokers and swap counterparties, custody and accounting teams...
Daily monitoring of the funds' exposures and risk indicators through a serie of first level controls
Improvement of trading and portfolio management tools and related processes/procedures
Involvement in all broad fund management related topics
Involvement in the operational setup of all new funds/mandates
Master degree from a major university or engineering school with specialisation in Finance/Asset Management
First experience in trading/portfolio management, ideally managing fixed-income securities
Good knowledge of portfolio management processes and of the whole operations treatment chain, from order generation to settlement
Strong programming capabilities
Fluent at least in French and English
Motivation, curiosity and strong ability to operate in a team
Good knowledge of the ETF industry is a plus
