Provision of advice and assistance on AML compliance and anti-money laundering matters
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
Manages day-to-day operation of the AML compliance including oversight of implementation and adherence to the Compliance Manual of the Company /Group
Develop monitoring procedures and practices to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal systems of control and measures implemented by the Company
Maintain and update regulatory and statutory reporting program and liaises with departments within the Company and/or Group and third party service providers to ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting
Collaborate and liaise with internal departments, regulators, authorities and external service providers to resolve legal and compliance issues
Keep abreast of changes in applicable laws and regulations and provide guidance to the Company and to the Group on proposed regulatory changes
University graduate in Finance, Law or Accounting
5 - 8 years of relevant experience in AML gained from an investment banking environment
Strong knowledge in FATCA, AML laws and local HK regulations is required
Strong communications skills and able to build good rapport across functions
Reliable, diligent, well organized and detailed-oriented
Dynamic, committed and a team player
Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin is a must)
