Performs Network Administrator functions for Kayne Anderson Rudnicks' infrastructure including the management of production servers, deployment, and monitoring of desktop& laptop computers, security appliances, operating system imaging, and software developments.
Responds to all levels of support tickets, including those which require a unique perspective to a difficult technical issue, advanced knowledge of Kayne Anderson Rudnicks' operating environment.
Conceptualizes, designs, develops, tests, and assists in the implementation of computer system technologies including backups, virtualization, VPN, Active directory, security applications, desktop and server operating systems, and Email.
Manages day to day operations and relationships with key IT Infrastructure vendors to ensure we provide the firm's users with a stable operating environment and ensure a 99.99% uptime.
Performs other duties as required by senior management.
BA/BS degree and 3-5 years of experience in an IT support-related role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applies expertise and knowledge of a specific technical or functional area.
Knowledge of: Microsoft Windows server (2012 and 2016); MS Active directory; MS Exchange - server, Outlook clients; MS SQL - from operations view, install, not DBA skills; MS Desktop Tools (Office Professional - word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook); SAN (Dell Equilogic); Hardware (HP servers / HP desktops/Lenovo laptops, Advanced troubleshooting skills)
Blackberry experience a plus and Familiarity with backup systems (Commvault, Double-Take)
Ability to set timelines and project goals or function within the context of projected teams.
Ability to receive and comprehend strategic direction from a senior leader, to provide feedback and input to enhance that direction.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to exchange complex information effectively to reach agreements in ambiguous or difficult situations.
Ability to collaborate with fellow team members to achieve objectives within project timelines.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, handle interruptions and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Normal work hours are 6:00am – 3:00pm, but can be discussed with team to provide required support hours for the business users.
Off-hour/weekend support may be needed to address technical issues and/or implement upgrades or new applications.
