We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Process Engineering.
Principal responsibilities The Commercial Banking Process Engineering team is an integral part of the Commercial Banking Chief Operating Office and is responsible for delivering Commercial Banking's process improvement objectives in line with the Global Commercial Banking Strategic Business Outlook. The team support end to end reviews of processes alongside defining and implementing improvements and delivering automation solutions such as robotics so that Commercial Banking can provide a market leading service to our customers. The team has a high degree of exposure to Senior Management at a Global, Regional and Country level and works collectively with them to identify and resolve business problems and maximize business opportunities.
Responsible for mapping processes end to end, including client touch points, processing including activities completed by HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Products, Functions and data storage
Designs and monitors the delivery of improvement programs or projects to reengineer processes where required, and deliver business performance improvement
Responsible for carrying out process mapping initiatives to improve processing efficiencies which may also involve managing re-engineering initiatives, work flow management and automation enhancement
Continuously builds capability in the Process Engineering Practice, through organizing and hosting community events, sharing relevant articles, studies, ideas, ensuring regular development and sharing of case studies
Participates in the delivery of process improvement initiatives in accordance with HSBC methodologies and in line with industry best practice
Applies financial acumen to provide analysis of metrics and measures to quantify the impact of improvement initiatives and prepare a business case quantifying the impact or benefits of process automation
Acts as a role model to foster a culture of continuous improvement and disseminate best practice process engineering practices across the wider Commercial Banking team
Fosters adoption of relevant tools, frameworks and methodologies thus driving a common high performance approach
Good knowledge and experience of process mapping, process design and process reengineering
Good knowledge of Commercial bank's business model, the customer proposition, the channels and operations and the key financial performance drivers
Experience or exposure to Commercial Banking operations advantageous
Proven experience of designing and embedding operational process improvements
Analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor an advantage
Industry recognized technical certifications such as Six Sigma green or black belt preferred but not essential
Demonstrable experience in workshop facilitation and stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation
