Business Overview & Role Description:
The Securities Services business manages approximately $150bn of cash liability balances related to assets under custody. Reporting to the Head of Cash & Liquidity for Securities Services in APAC, you will be part of a team responsible for both on and off balance sheet products and solutions in support of client business in APAC and will work with the global Cash & Liquidity team on Asia-Pacific requirements for cash management and payment activity across J.P. Morgan's agent network. You will work with colleagues across J.P. Morgan including Treasury, Treasury Services, and Banking Operations.
As part of the APAC Cash & Liquidity Product team, you will be responsible for the day to day commercial running of the business with the opportunity to help shape the landscape in the short, medium and long term. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex, challenging and changing environment at one of the world's leading custodians.
Based in Hong Kong, the Liquidity Product Analyst/Associate will be responsible for supporting product definition and financial performance of Liquidity solutions and our on/off balance sheet product offering, within Securities Services.
Develop a robust understanding of market dynamics - competition, regulatory changes, emerging client requirements and product needs
Drive profitable operating deposit growth, through partnership with Sales team for a close client view by developing scorecard and metrics to ensure transparent and effective communication of performance and P&L management
Manage ongoing health and hygiene of interest rate conditions across the portfolio, driving consistency, accuracy and completeness of rate settings to deliver a timely and accurate outcome to our clients.
Stay abreast with regulatory landscape ensuring products are in compliance
Respond to potential issues related to risk and control management framework applicable to existing clients products; escalate as appropriate and drive remediation to completion
Create internal and external product material for training and selling of products managed
Direct support of RFI/ RFPs
Act as the escalation point for product related questions within the region and ensure suitable resolution and management of issues.
Work with the other regional liquidity product teams to create a consistent model (where applicable/possible)
Fully understand the regulatory landscape for cash and liquidity (global - Basel III, G-SIB and regional regulation in Asia-Pacific)
Support Ad-hoc research and resolution of daily issues, data requests, reporting requirements, as well as regulatory requests
Work in partnership with Product Development, Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk to design and develop operating models for new or existing clients
The successful candidate will have worked in a Securities Services, Treasury Services, or Investment Management environment for a minimum of 2 years in a Product Management, Product Development, Market Segment or related Finance role (e.g. Business Management, Financial Controllers).

Strong analytical skills in terms of process and operating model re-engineering and understanding clients needs related to Cash & Liquidity
Be able to research the anticipated needs of clients; through a combination of "own" research as well as coordination across a number of key partners
Be keen to understand the competitive landscape; understanding the features and functions of competitor offerings
Strong time management, organizational and planning skills
Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex ideas and analytics in a succinct way
Ability to perform in a high pressure, team environment, working across timezones and geographies
Regional language capabilities are desirable
Proficiency in Power Point, Word, Excel and good analytical skills
Undergraduate degree required; Accounting, Treasury, Securities or Investment business qualifications preferred
