Job Purpose (Job Summary): This position is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis and decision support. Developing and maintaining successful relationships within Finance and Corporate Strategy (FCS) and with key business partners is critical to success.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Analyze monthly financial results and relevant trends to identify and understand risks to achieving the firm's financial objectives- proactively address with FCS and business leadership.
Create, interpret and deliver management reporting in the form of presentations, performance dashboards, and other visual means for business leaders, including senior executives.
Analyze business performance against a set of strategic key performance indicators- identify improvement opportunities and understand key drivers of performance
Partner with the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, regional and functional leadership teams to prepare Invesco's budget and monthly forecasts.
Structure, perform, and interpret scenario analysis on key business drivers as part of Invesco's monthly and annual forecast process
Conduct cost/benefit analyses for strategic business decisions facing Invesco, considering relevant financial and strategic factors and evaluating potential courses of action.
Identify areas of possible revenue opportunities and/or potential cost savings to incorporate into the business' financial plan and forecast.
Coordinate and prepare ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis related to Invesco's strategic priorities and growth strategy, including performance bench-marking and special projects.
Monitor strategic investments made by Invesco, track success (e.g. return on investment), and report initiative progress to Firm Leadership
Work Experience / Knowledge:
5+ years of Finance experience with a concentration in financial planning, management reporting, quantitative analysis, scenario planning, and decision modeling.
Prior experience in investment management or financial services is a plus.
Knowledge of Oracle and/or Hyperion planning is a plus.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word.
Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation.
Comfort applying latest financial management technologies and using automated tools as appropriate (E.g. experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau)
Able to lead projects.
Ability to listen effectively.
Ability to work in a team environment across functions and geographic locations.
Confidentiality and discretion are crucial.
Commitment to accuracy and ability to review your own work is a must.
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
BS in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative discipline.
MBA a plus.
License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
CPA or CFA a plus.
