Position: The Global Industrials team is actively looking for an experienced Vice President for our New York office. Primary Responsibilities: As a Vice President in the Global Industrials Group you will rapidly assume significant responsibilities related to pitching for and executing advisory and capital markets transactions for industrial clients. These responsibilities will include the following:
Lead the execution of M&A as well as equity and debt financings and restructuring transactions
Preparing and participating in the delivery of client presentations;
Supervise and direct junior bankers in the preparation of pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations and prospectuses
Direct the preparation of financial and valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction and comparable companies analyses
Analyze business plans and participate in due diligence sessions
Drafting private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1s;
Leading drafting sessions;
Develop client relationships through deal execution and pitching
These responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with the senior executive management teams of our clients. VPs in the Global Industrials Group are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships. You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both from within the group and across the firm, including with product partners such as bankers in our Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, M&A and Restructuring teams. You will have significant exposure to Managing Directors throughout the firm as we collaborate to develop and execute solutions to meet client needs.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND 5+ years of Investment Banking experience in Industrials or a sector coverage group
MBA degree (or equivalent graduate degree) from an accredited college or university AND 3-4 years of Investment Banking experience in Industrials or a sector coverage group
Financial modeling coursework, training, or experience
Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
Resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player
Live in New York or willing to relocate to New York
