Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for supporting the EMEA Chief Risk Officer to implement an effective risk governance framework across the MUFG Bank EMEA business, and providing a holistic view of the risks facing MUFG Bank in EMEA. The department supports senior management to ensure the resolvability of MUFG's EMEA entities through recovery and resolution planning and the financial crisis response framework. In addition, ERMO performs integrated stress testing and capital adequacy assessments for the MUFG Bank and Securities businesses.
ERMO have an opportunity for an experienced risk manager to join the team in London supporting its responsibilities across the EMEA operations for the Bank and Securities businesses. This role requires an individual with a good depth of knowledge of financial markets and experience of risk governance and enterprise wide risk management with a focus on the UK and EU recovery and resolution regimes and regulatory engagement.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support MUFG Bank and Securities Senior Management in ensuring the EMEA legal entities are resolvable through RRP initiatives.
To support the Joint Bank and Securities response to Financial Crisis scenarios.
Supporting the EMEA Chief Risk Officer to implement an effective risk governance framework through the provision of Risk management information and analysis to the Joint Management Committee, Executive Committee, Board and Board Risk Committee.
Support MUFG more broadly in its recovery and resolution preparations
Ensure regulatory change is closely monitored and the impact of new requirements are reported to Senior Management.
Support oversight and Risk governance over change initiatives across the Bank and Securities business through.
Supporting the development and maintenance of Bank and Securities RRP initiatives and documentation including Resolution Playbooks, the Securities' Recovery Plan, Resolution Pack and Solvent Wind Down, and any additional analysis as required by the regulator.
Support the regular testing of the Bank and Securities Joint Financial Crisis Management.
Support the Bank's RRP Task Force initiatives.
Support Risk governance over change initiatives across the Bank and Securities businesses through a controlled implementation process in adherence with new business and new product policy and procedures and risk reporting.
Support regulatory reviews and requests impacting Risk on an ad hoc basis.
Support development and maintenance of policies and procedures to support the EMEA Risk Management Framework, as required.
Promoting innovative approaches within the department to increase efficiency of meeting objectives and reducing operational risk.
Dealing with and providing information to auditors and regulators as necessary.
Ad-hoc projects as required.
