Overview of the Department/Section Japanese Corporate Banking Division (JCBD) London manages the Japanese corporate banking business in London. Operations include granting credit to subsidiaries and affiliates of major Japanese corporations operating in the UK / Europe and in countries such as South Africa and north Europe.
The Planning Department in Japanese Corporate Banking Division for EMEA covers the following tasks.
Planning and Management of Japanese corporate banking business in EMEA
Business Promotion of Japanese corporate banking business in EMEA
Strategy Planning, promotion, management, guidance, support for Branches/Representative Offices/Subsidiaries that are in charge of JCB business
Profit and BSC target setting/management
Advice/support on business development plans for each EMEA Office
New business strategies
Research and analysis of EMEA business environment and business development planning

Main Purpose of the Role To support the Planning Department with the planning and management of Japanese corporate banking business in EMEA.
Develop initiatives along with EMEA/global JCBD business strategies.
Develop and maintain effective relationships across JCBD EMEA network and other divisions in Head Office and EMEA, to enable greater co-ordination of activities and aid collaborative working. Being AVP, the requirements are much higher than an analyst.
Provide overall support to management including Head of Planning Department to run the division effectively.
Work experience in a financial institution with deep understanding and experience in Japanese Corporate Banking business (especially overseas business)
Working within a multicultural working environment preferable
Basic knowledge in wide range of banking products
Previous experience in business planning /strategy development is advantageous
