Working closely with regional Debt Capital Markets (DCM)/Legal/MTN Trading Department and other stakeholders to drive and execute the documentation process of medium term notes (MTN) transactions in APAC, mainly, MTN programme updates and MTN drawdowns:
Lead and further develop the new documentation function to provide high quality documentation support to the stakeholders in the area of debt capital markets
Become a central point of contact for DCM/Legal/MTN Trading/External Counsel/Clients (and other stakeholders) throughout the MTN documentation lifecycle - from inception to execution
Review MTN programme update documents (including offering circulars, programme agreements, due diligence questionnaires, etc.), identify issues and co-ordinate with the relevant functions internally (e.g. DCM/Legal/MTN Trading/Compliance) for prompt resolution on the issues within set time-frame parameters
Obtain approvals/waivers/sign-off from relevant stakeholders on any concessions to standard policy/approach during the MTN documentation process as needed
Draft post-trade documentation (e.g. Pricing Supplement) for MTN drawdowns, liaise with listing agent and drive the documentation process to the completion
Develop an efficient and streamlined operating framework and facilitate the introduction of strategic/automation system tools of documentation by partnering with Legal, Business, Operations and Technology
Own, manage, update the full population of MTN programme tracker
Maintain relevant systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of deal folders
Degree in law (Commonwealth law qualification preferred)
Minimum of 3 - 5 years proven experience in the area of capital markets gained from major financial institution or law firm environment (experience in APAC debt capital markets an advantage)
An excellent understanding of the MTN programme documentation/updates/drawdown mechanics preferred
Proven track record of managing a wide range of client documentation/transactions with good understanding of regional issues
Experience of derivatives, structured note products or equity capital markets documentation an advantage
Strong verbal and written communication skills and a good command of spoken and written English. Mandarin Chinese an advantage
Ability to perform/prioritize multi-tasks and excellent execution mentality to meet deadlines
Ability to work and deliver independently/proactively and good skills of teamwork
Strong organizational skills
Keep abreast of new regulations and industry analysis of the cross-border finance and capital markets
Good skills of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
