Corporate Treasury is a function within the Treasury / Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) organization of JPMorgan responsible for managing the firm's balance sheet, liquidity and funding positions, establishing funds transfer pricing policy, executing the firm's securitization programs and managing the firm's relationships with rating agencies and fixed income investors.
The Intraday Liquidity Management and Cash Optimization team is a global team within Corporate Treasury that partners with the Treasury funding desk, balance sheet and liquidity management, all lines of businesses, Risk, Finance and Operations. The team is primarily responsible for the measurement, monitoring, analytics and reporting of the Firm's sources and uses of intraday cash, credit and collateral at Central Banks, financial market infrastructures, agent banks and legal entities through the strategic built of the Intraday liquidity dashboard. In addition, the team works with key stakeholder teams to facilitate, streamline, and execute strategies where liquidity and cash could be optimized in the Firm.
Position Description: This position will be based in Hong Kong and will report to the APAC lead of the Firmwide Intraday Liquidity and Cash Optimization. This role will require interest in both Intraday Liquidity and Cash Optimization, and strong partnerships across Treasury functions for all Asia countries including, but not limited to, Treasury Funding teams, Line of Business Treasury teams, Firmwide Balance Sheet management teams, Liquidity Risk Oversight, Operational Risk, Clearing Operations, Cash Management, Nostro Management and Technology teams. Besides, effective collaboration and communication will be essential internally with EMEA and North America Intraday Liquidity and Cash Optimization teams.
Conduct deep dive analysis on payment flows for major APAC currencies, and identify opportunities for funding management and operational efficiencies. Strong partnerships with key stakeholders to understand the end-to-end processes of transactions will be crucial in identifying risk and opportunities for intraday liquidity management. Well documentation of analysis is also expected for senior management reviews
Support the end to end development, enhancements and execution of Intraday Liquidity Dashboard APAC related projects, including the buildout of legal entity and currency views
Develop and compose analytics reports and presentations in supporting Treasury senior management, LOB business partners, liquidity/funding forums, and client meetings. Due diligence and attention to detail is critical
Provide analytics on Intraday related stress assumptions partnering with CIB Treasury and Liquidity Management through the qualitative models process, which includes re-evaluation of current Systemically Important Payments (SIPs) and identification of additional potential risks/assumptions to be captured
Interact frequently with partnering teams in T/CIO, Business Units, Risk, finance and other corporate functions within JPMorgan in order to obtain, understand, analyze and draw conclusions with respect to potential intraday liquidity and payment risk implications
Assist with regional regulatory requests regarding Intraday liquidity
Minimum 3 years of experience in liquidity/ treasury, markets/banking business, risk and/or finance, preferably with a wide range of experience in quantitative and financial product management and systems preferred
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as a high level of self-initiative required
Ability to balance and execute multiple projects at once and deliver results under tight time constraints with attention to details
Interests in intraday liquidity, ALM, payment systems and liquidity rules/requirements is preferable
Demonstrated effectiveness working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different businesses and functional areas
