About The Role Role Location: Melbourne CBD Role Type: 12 month Fixed Term, Full-time Shift Schedule: Standard hours
As a Manager Model Validation, your role is part of ANZ's Group Model Validation team which focuses on the independent validation of newly developed or remediated models for rating (AIRB), stress testing and provisioning (IFRS9).
Responsibilities include the engagement with stakeholders and ongoing feedback during model development and validation, the review of data, code, model documentation, and functional specifications, as well as the development of model validation tools, production of analysis and reports to support model validation, and optimisation of GMV's internal tools and processes. The candidate should also provide ongoing support to other Group Model Validation (GMV) streams globally.
About You Below are the required skills for this role:
Experience in data science or other analytics role and ability to work with large amounts of data.
Great computer skills including: statistical software (e.g. SAS, R, SQL, Model Builder, DP triad, probe, tallyman, debt manager etc) and Microsoft applications including MS Excel and VBA
Strong knowledge and experience of developing and validating statistical models are preferred
Strong problem solving and analytical/numerical skills
Self-motivated, proactive and ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members across geography
Well-developed written and oral skills with strong stakeholder management skills for internal and external customers
Degree in a relevant discipline (qualification in Econometrics, Statistics, Maths, Actuarial studies, Engineering, or sciences is preferred).
