Mission Description of the Business Line or Department Globally, Global Business Services (GBS) & Chief Operating Office (COO) is a key partner for SG's wholesale business lines. This global team gathers the following support functions: Market Analysts & Certification Community (MACC), Operations (OPER), Information Technology (ITEC) and Regulatory, Oversight & Cyber security (ROCS). GBS's aim is to accelerate the transformation plan of the Wholesale business to make it a top European leader. Its focuses are client centricity, end to end process digitalization, increased industrialization, data valorisation and cyber security. Its people and its culture are its differentiating factors. The primary missions of the Chief Operating Office consist in optimizing the allocation and the management of resources for all wholesale activities and secondly, driving the even more in-depth transformation of SG's operating model transformation, especially those relating to the resources departments. The COO function ensures the adequacy, efficiency, resilience and appropriateness of the support infrastructure, complying with the local regulations and supporting business evolution whilst mitigating operational risk
Summary of the key puroposes of the role The purpose of the mission is to support the COOE office on the staff monitoring process and control the operational expenses for all EMEA in collaboration with the different business lines management and the contact points GBS/COO (Paris Headquarter) in regions and finance.
The candidate will need to provide to management all elements regarding the follow-up, decisions and recommendations on the strategy and to analyze/escalate any critical points
Summary of responsibilities Budget process: To build the yearly staff budget, notify the budget to each manager, prepare the data and prepare the databases for the new budget year. Monthly follow-up: to have a monthly review with management on the realised and forecasted movements, challenge the forecast and feedback received, consolidate the regional view for each business unit, analyze the evolution and the budget gap compare to management target, take into account the executive decision on budget mitigation, follow the indicators linked to the organization and staff and to produce a synthetic presentation for the head of the business line. To be the interlocutor for all the problematic related to staff in the scope covered (Ad-hoc request, staff controller tasks) To advise managers in regard of the cost challenge, the budget piloting, the HR policy, the operational needs and the risk linked to the staff management The role more specifically centered towards the team: To communicate and complete the mission which is assigned to you within the scope that you are supporting To contribute to the transversal workshop related to the staff and the organization of the scope The key interlocutors The GBS managers on the overall scope, including more specifically the responsible of each business line The budget colleagues in the regions for EUROPE, AMER, ASIA and BANGALORE The Finance team (DFIN The HR team (HUMN,DRHG)

Profile Analytical skills To have analytical skills to understand the environment and identify the staff/cost monitoring process. Communication skills To have great communication skills to deal with the managers around Europe and to ensure efficient communication process with the GBS/COOS team Paris.
