Mission Description of the Business Line or Department
Portfolio Management Solutions provides investment management services to the bank's clients either through direct portfolios or via mutual funds. The relationship with the client can be either discretionary or advisory. With a discretionary relationship trades may be executed with specific trade approval based on the overall mandate. For advisory relationships each trade must be approved by the client.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
Manage client portfolios in line with client mandate/restrictions, group investment policy and regulations.
Provide clients with updates and investment advice consistent with group policy.
Contribute to regular investment team meetings and participate in the various asset class committees.
Support CRMs and other groups in their commercial efforts to promote the investment offering.
Actively embed the firm code of conduct and risk awareness culture
Summary of responsibilities
Promote, consistently within the client expectations, the full product range available in KH based on their market knowledge (ie Advisory, Discretionary)
Work closely with CRMs and provide clients with specific allocation and products in line with i) the client risk profile, ii) the KH investment strategy and iii) the local regulation
Present the bank offer internally and externally as required.
Provide input into marketing materials
Operating Risk and Regulatory responsibilities
Complete CPD, continue professional development and maintain a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
When managing funds, ensure full compliance with relevant regulation.
Perform all duties in line with SG and KH procedures
Comply with relevant jurisdiction regulation and always treat customers fairly
Carry out permanent supervision checks on portfolio investment processes
Management of Portfolios
Ensure portfolios are managed in line with client mandate/restrictions, SG and KH policy and that strategy changes are implemented promptly where applicable
Assist Senior Portfolio Managers in the administration and implementation of client portfolios and funds.
Ensure efficient execution of trades.
Understand client restrictions and tax position and manage portfolios accordingly
Answer ad hoc queries from clients and CRMs on investment related issues
Contribute to Investment Performance
Produce ideas that contribute to investment performance via universe selection committees, huddles or other forums.
Write up briefing notes on any investment ideas, share around team and collaborate with peers across group when applicable
Support Portfolio Managers with ad hoc performance analysis.
Perform review meetings with clients explaining portfolio performance and KH strategy.
Contribute to written client materials as required.
Answer ad-hoc client queries as required.
Provide advice to clients on their portfolios based upon KH Strategy
Update PMS, investment and other marketing materials.

Manage portfolios and investment strategies following SG Procedures and consistent with current strategy as defined by t he Global Investment Committee.
Answer ad-hoc client queries and provide portfolio and market updates.

Experience and understanding of all major asset markets (equities, bonds, FX, commodities, hedge funds)
Sound understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction principals.
Good understanding of investment risk management issues.
Good knowledge of UK regulatory framework.
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Competency with Microsoft office programs (in particular Excel)
Understanding of UK tax framework.
