VP-level role managing the MiddleOffice team supporting the NA Structured Investments Distributor Marketing(SIDM) business. SIDM is a sales and structuring desk that originates &distributes equity and cross-asset structured products via external US retailchannels such as Private Banks, Broker Dealers, and Registered InvestmentAdvisors.
The SIDM MO team is responsible forproviding operational support for the securitized derivatives that arestructured and marketed by the NA SIDM business - from primary issuance throughthe lifecycle of the products. Core responsibilities include trade capture,lifecycle event processing, client servicing, MIS generation, and day-to-daysupport of the NY SIDM deal origination & sales teams.
The SIDM MO manager will be taskedwith managing & developing an effective team that provides a high-level ofsupport to the business, as well as driving strategic initiatives with Tech& Ops counterparts globally. The role provides a unique opportunity topartner closely with global business heads to help steer the agenda for anindustry leading & continuously growing business.
Key managerial responsibilitiesinclude:
Drive business, control, and regulatory agendas
Establish strong relationship with senior business heads
Develop members of the team as individuals and a collective support team
Identify improvements and influence technology teams to prioritize work that will provide benefit to team
Continuous assessment of team structure to ensure even workload, effective use of skillsets, and adequate control framework
First point of escalation relating to any items with the team
Consistent focus on improving efficiency and control
Qualifications & key skillsets for the SIDM MO manager include:
Direct experience managing a team of multiple people
Change management or projects experience
Derivatives and structured products knowledge
Strong written & verbal communication skills to effectively partner across Front Office, Technology, and Operations teams globally
Detail-oriented with a strong control mindset
Operations experience preferred - requires the ability to understand front-to-back processes & complex workflows
Demonstrates the ability to create capacity via process improvement & efficiency
