Credit risks are the main underwriting focus of the Financial Risk Division team, which does (re)insurance business worldwide. You will support our team in the risk analysis of corporations, the assessment of complex business activities and the related financing structures and prepare independent credit decisions. Together with you we will be able to actively push the business development of our Division.
Analysis of the creditworthiness of corporates and large business transactions
Evaluation of complex financing structures including structured trade credit and export finance
Preparation of internal credit applications with conclusive recommendations and independent justification of decisions for internal stakeholders as well as clients
Determination of the risk appetite for the major individual risks and for the main business sectors
Diligent monitoring of the existing credit portfolio, identification of increased risks at an early stage and implementation of appropriate risk control measures
Client contacts regarding product- and risk related topics
Assistance in the examination and development of strategic growth initiatives and new business opportunities
Support of the further development of existing tools and credit risk management systems
University degree, preferably in business or economics, or equivalent training (banking traineeship followed by relevant further education)
Several years professional experience in the field of corporate risk analysis, knowledge of risk analysis in project financing and cash-flow-based financing
Superior analytical skills in conjunction with a mix of pronounced risk awareness and business-orientated approach
Sense of responsibility, along with the willingness and ability to justify decisions in a clear and comprehensible manner
Team spirit, proactive, ability to work independently
Confident manner and a high degree of social skills when interacting with colleagues, clients and in-house representatives
Business-level English required, additional foreign-language skills like Spanish would be of advantage
