Fitch Ratings is looking for an Associate Director/Director level Credit Analyst for our North American Bank Group, focused on providing analysis of U.S. and Canadian commercial banks. In this role you lead the ratings process for a variety of commercial banks, directing analysts throughout the ratings process, leading credit ratings committees and publishing research on rated banks and topical industry issues.
In addition, you are responsible for:
Provide primary or secondary coverage on a portfolio of banks
Interaction with senior management of banks
Prepare and present rating committee packages
Conduct and publish thought provoking industry research
Speak with investors and media on bank-specific rating and topical industry issue
- Bachelor's degree; - Five plus years of direct experience covering banking or similar financial institutions; - Self-motivated professional; - Solid understanding of Basel bank regulatory rules - Demonstrated expertise in Excel, Powerpoint and Word; - Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; - Ability to shift fluidly between multiple tasks as priorities change; - Ability to excel in a team oriented environment.
