Our client is a provider of specialist residential and commercial lending products primarily focused on meeting the needs of Small Business across Australia. They work with a limited range of introducers selected for their expertise in the specialist lending market and are currently seeking an experienced data and reporting analyst to join the team.
Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will design and produce reporting, dashboards and modelling for the Risk Function, incorporating trend analysis and performance of the business. These reports will be used to fulfill reporting requirements to external regulators, audit, the board, risk & compliance committee, Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer and the Chief Financial Officer. You will work closely with the internal technology team to build the reporting infrastructure and reports.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conduct the extraction, collation, manipulation and presentation of data
Analyse results and write reports and dashboards geared to business requests
Create systems for data and spreadsheets
Review Market/ Industry research – and compare to organisation performance
Liaise with business on research requirements
Ensure risk reporting is aligned to and supports enterprise key risks, and risk appetite statements
Ensure enterprise risk reporting is positioned positively against internal and external benchmarks
Establish productive relationships with peers, internal customers & supplier representatives
Degree qualified in a Finance, Business or IT discipline, you will have up to three years relevant credit or management/business/performance reporting experience in the financial services industry, with exposure risk and compliance an advantage. You will have advanced Excel skills with an ability to build and produce dashboard reports in share-point or similar system. Some experience and awareness of coding would also be preferred or as a minimum the ability to collaborate with a Data Analyst to build reporting capability.
You will be a self starter who plans your work & assists senior staff in organising & completing their work, and your strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines will ensure your success in this role.
