We Offer Group Finance Operational Risk & Control (GF ORC) is part of the CFO division of the bank. GF ORC's aim is to be recognized as a best-in-class operational risk function and to be a trusted advisor to the firm's senior management for any internal controls related matters providing independent operational risk management activities and representing a strong second line of defense function. The function has bank-wide responsibilities for maintaining and supervising a number of the firm's most critical control programs, including the Global Regulatory Reporting Framework, the SOX 404 Compliance program and the General Ledger Account Ownership program.
The GF ORC RRF Strategic Implementation role will report into the Global Head of Group Finance Operational Risk & Control, a Managing Director based in Zurich. This role is a Director position with a global remit and is based in Singapore. The role has a global remit and is based in Singapore. (As a second preference, the role could also be based in Zuirhc .)
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
The role is as a project manager and will plan, organize and manage all change related to delivery of the Regulatory Reporting Framework (RRF) enhancements program, which is recognized as a key focus across the bank. This is a complex, multi-year program to transform the firm's key regulatory reporting framework. As the RRF covers reporting across all the divisions and corporate functions, it is a global role working across the bank. The role will be responsible for all aspects of delivery, including:
Initiate and mobilize the project
Establish and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders across the organization
Establish clear scope, with realistic and credible delivery objectives
Define a roadmap that satisfies both internal and external, including relevant Audit Committees, requirements
Implement and run effective program governance through working groups, steering committees, etc
Execute, control and deliver to agreed success criteria
Identify, monitor, resolve and escalate risks and issues
The role will require working closely and in tandem with the Head of the RRF Program, a Director based in Singapore and the RRQA team lead, a VP based in Pune. The enhancements will be governed by the Global RRF STC with accountability into ICS CARMC, which is the bank's highest control governance forum.
This is a senior Group Finance role and as such will require the normal commitment associated with such a position.
Strong experience in internal controls over financial or regulatory reporting, either within a line, 2LoD/3LoD or project management function.
Proven project management skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance preferred. Graduate degree and CPA/ACA designation or equivalent is a plus.
Proven ability in working collaboratively in a senior team to achieve common goals.
Advanced written and oral communication skills, and demonstrable experience in dealing with senior stakeholders (Director/Managing Director/equivalent level)
Experience in Banking Industry a plus.
Excellent communicator who can lead motivate and influence example and strategic in thinking with a keen eye for detail.
Self-starter, able to drive the agenda forward, analytical mind set, able to grasp big picture while not losing sight of details.
Appreciation of challenges and opportunities associated with working across cultures, time zones and locations.
