A Specialist Asset Management Firm a seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join their Compliance Function.
With headquarters globally, the firm is in a period of rapid international growth. To strengthen their Legal and Compliance team, they are looking for a Compliance professional to take over day-to-day responsibility for the Compliance function, commencing as soon as possible. In your daily work, you will oversee Compliance for the group in the UK and for its interactions internationally. You will be directly involved in all relevant decision-making processes right from the start, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
On a day-to-day basis you will
Work closely with the group's General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to implement and oversee the group's Compliance framework
Devise and implement Compliance rules, processes, and procedures to enhance the company's regulatory frameworks, efficiency and success
Monitor and manage existing processes
Help structure and automate all Compliance processes
Review and approve marketing materials and activities
Manage regulatory reporting
Answer all Compliance enquiries
Lend your skills to projects across the group when needed
Engage in research and thought leadership regarding corporate regulatory and Compliance practices
Excellent communication and presentational skills, in person and in writing
A strong academic background
Professional qualification as an English lawyer or Compliance professional with significant experience of international Compliance work
Four or more years' Compliance experience in an FCA-regulated environment with a leading asset management, financial services, or data business
Strong understanding of FCA and international regulatory frameworks
Strong abilities in researching, drafting, and implementing Compliance procedures
Proven judgement in understanding and managing regulatory risks
Proven organizational diligence in managing reporting
