Department Profile: Morgan Stanley's Global Sustainable Finance Group ("GSF") aims to drive the growth of sustainable investing through ongoing development of products and solutions, thought leadership and capacity building initiatives. The GSF team is seeking a Vice President to support the team's incubation and execution of innovative sustainable investing products, solutions and services for clients of Morgan Stanley. GSF works closely with partners across Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Investment Management, and Institutional Securities Group.
Job Summary: The Vice President will be responsible for managing, delivering and further developing a set of digital sustainable investing products in use across Morgan Stanley's business units. The Vice President will be expected to partner with a variety of internal stakeholders to define product strategy and direction and work closely with technology and operations partners to oversee product build and delivery. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in financial services and digital product management, a passion for environmental and social sustainability, an entrepreneurial mindset, and strong interpersonal and project management skills. Partnership and collaboration with groups across Morgan Stanley will be key to success. The Vice President may be asked to assist with projects related to other areas of GSF including, but not limited to, corporate sustainability initiatives and the Institute for Sustainable Investing.
Responsibilities: -Work with business, platform, technology and UX stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize features, outcomes, timelines and approaches for product delivery -Partner closely with technology project manager to monitor progress of build and testing milestones and manage resolution of defects, dependencies and risks -Monitor and elevate key impacts to schedule, scope and budget with business stakeholders -Produce, review and maintain project documents to inform product delivery and executive decision-making -Ensure appropriate implementation of risk controls based on engagement with legal, risk and compliance partners -Support engagement and adoption of digital tools with end users, including management and prioritization of feedback -Define success metrics and oversee internal data reporting requests -Assist with additional GSF and Institute for Sustainable Investing activities, as needed
-5-8 years of work experience in financial services and digital product management; Wealth management experience a plus -Undergraduate degree with courses in finance and technology; Advanced degree a plus -Ability to represent and document business requirements, data flow processes, use cases, test cases and user stories; Experience with Agile development methodology preferred -Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to navigate multiple business and technology stakeholders to define product scope and feature requirements -Adaptability, resilience and creativity with excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills -Detailed, organized and results-oriented -Strong time and project management skills -Ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team and independently as a self-starter
