Strategic Client Management (SCM) is responsible for identifying and facilitating cross-selling business opportunities between Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) and the Institutional divisions at Morgan Stanley. SCM is focused on sourcing transactions from our Financial Advisors to be executed in the Investment Banking Division (IBD), Sales and Trading (S&T) and Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), and additionally is focused on sourcing opportunities to increase new client assets in Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) by leveraging existing relationships across the Institutional divisions at our firm.
The position affords the opportunity to gain a broad perspective of investment banking, wealth management and client coverage across the firm. Attractive candidates should have an interest in (1) understanding the full suite of investment banking, sales & trading, wealth management and investment management services we provide to our clients and (2) advancing the firm's long-term strategic cross-collaboration initiatives. The candidate will be expected to think analytically, be detail oriented and client centric, and should possess a robust knowledge of the landscape within Morgan Stanley's IBD, Global Capital Market (GCM) and MSIM divisions as well as MSWM. Responsibilities: - Interface regularly with investment bankers, company management, MSWM management and introducing MSWM capabilities and advisors to Morgan Stanley relationships/clients outside of MSWM - Manage coverage teams across multiple disciplines to maximize the revenue opportunity to MS - Manage these introductions and relationships, providing value-added feedback to all relevant parties as appropriate - Own various pipelines, group metrics and cross-divisional revenue and asset databases - Facilitate the strategic and organizational business analysis within IBD and MSWM - Be results oriented and quickly turn around high quality work in a fast paced environment
Qualifications: - 6-10 years' experience in financial services with a deep understanding of Investment Banking transactions - Strong interpersonal skills - Self-starter who will take initiative, learn quickly and work independently - High level of attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills - Team-oriented, with high level of administrative and interpersonal professionalism - A track record of success and a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion - Series licensing or must obtain
