Wealth Management Associate When you join Canterbury as a Wealth Management Associate, you will be exposed to all aspects of the wealth management industry. You will learn how to ask the right questions, find the right answers, and then use quantitative and qualitative frameworks to develop solutions for our clients. Starting on your first day at Canterbury Consulting, you will be an integral part of the process in helping clients achieve investment success.
The Wealth Management Associate position at Canterbury is a challenging and rewarding role for the right individual. We are looking for a candidate with the following skill set: - 3-5+ years of experience working with high net worth clients - Familiarity with personal and/or business financial statements (e.g. balance sheet, income statement, etc.) - Knowledge of tax and estate planning strategies - Strong modeling skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel - Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines - CFA designation or related coursework preferred, but not required
The primary responsibility of the Wealth Management Associate is to support the Consulting team in all areas including, but not limited to, the following: - Own the design and completion of client deliverables and timelines for client meetings and requests. Collaborate with senior consultants to obtain buy in on approach and deliverables. Materials may include balance sheets, cash flow statements, private capital summaries, and charitable giving reports - Monitor client liquidity on an ongoing basis and identify areas to raise capital as needed - Manage relationships with clients' lenders and provide documentation for new loans and quarterly liquidity requirements - Work on ad hoc custom projects and presentations as requested by clients and consultants - Prepare asset allocation analyses and rebalance proposals - Manage client to-do lists and projects to ensure all deadlines are met
