Your new company A high-profile and extremely well-funded start-up technology company that is now established and entering the most exciting stage of its development.
Your new role The CFO will lead the Finance function for the Group and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, developing the company's financial targets and analysing business risks & opportunities. The CFO will also develop rigorous analytics to generate business insights and drive company growth whilst building an effective & strategic FP&A function and refining performance metrics to evaluate ROI on investments. You will lead the group's international finance team, mentoring and developing the finance talent to build a high-performance culture, whilst further building the accounting and tax functions. You will present to the Board on budgets, forecasts, actuals vs target financials and other key business KPIs and will act as strategic advisory to the board on group structure, M&A and other corporate finance matters.
What you'll need to succeed You will be a chartered accountant with an impressive academic background (MBA from a well-regarded business school is preferred) and 12-15 years' experience, including at least 3-4 years in a finance leadership role, ideally within Fintech, e-Commerce, Technology and/or Banking. You will have sharp business instincts, able to initiate and drive growth in an entrepreneurial environment. With the support of the Corporate Finance team and the CEO & Board of Directors, you will direct equity and fund-raising activities, using your experience in investor communications and liaisons with venture capital funds and banks. Additionally, you will possess strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to create complex financial models. A good level of competency in Mandarin is preferred as the company has operations in China and throughout Asia.
