Description: The role will report to the head of Credit Risk Strategy and Execution in the Global Consumer Risk Management (GCRM) organization, and will lead consumer credit risk oversight strategy and process to ensure Global Consumer Bank's (GCB) progress towards strong risk management and deliver on key priorities to build and scale on digital using analytics and smart automation. The successful incumbent will work closely with both 1st Line of Defense (In-Business) and 2nd Line of Defense (Independent Functions) to ensure oversight process enables and effectively monitors compliance to citi policies and regulations, and is appropriately transformed through process re-engineering and adoption of digital and analytics solutions to achieve planned transformation targets.
Partner with GCB and Risk Management subject matter experts (SMEs), across 1 st and 2 nd line, to drive strategy for path to strong that is integrated with
GCCFRP and other applicable policies
Global Consumer credit quality assurance framework including consumer credit benchmarks and limits monitoring, anchored to risk appetite framework
holistic interactive review of GCB execution status and state of controls, including 360 O view across Consumer Risk, FCR, IA and GRC
Credit programs and overall portfolio performance early indicators and triggers.
Support the development and execution of a Comprehensive Re-engineering and Digitization Plan to strengthen and automate front line and second line oversight functions to manage consumer credit risk. The plan should be consistent and aligned with Citigroup business objectives and meet the laws, regulations and expectations of Citi's respective Boards and regulatory agencies globally. Think strategically and tactically, to design and implement deliverables, with the flexibility to adjust to new innovations, regulations and priorities.
Lead initiatives in Global Consumer Risk Management, and support programs across Risk Management and GCB for identification and implementation of opportunities to enhance performance monitoring and risk identification through process re-engineering, technology, innovation, machine learning, AI and robotics.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related Master's Degree is highly preferred
Excellent judgment and independent decision-making ability
Relevant experience in the following areas: consumer credit risk management, process re-engineering and automation, analytics transformation, technological innovation, project management.
Strong, energetic leader with a proven track record and a true passion for risk management innovation, design, and technology with proven success
Must have 10+ years of management experience, preferably in designing and successfully leading process & system re-engineering and transformation in a Consumer Bank and establishing successful onshore-offshore operating models for risk management and analytics functions.
Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views. Comfortable acting as an agent for positive change with agility and flexibility.
Effectiveness in working within a large scale and complex matrix organization is essential.
