We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice president HSBC Business Centre Commercial Banking.
Uphold Customer Due Diligence standard during Client Selection and Onboarding process in order to safeguard the Hong Kong Business Banking customer portfolio and assist in minimizing and preventing losses resulting from high risk and fraudulent accounts. Vice President Approver as part of our first line of defense function to ensure we have appropriate evaluation of our New Customer Acquisition applications to be complied with regulatory, compliance, internal standards and fit for purpose
Vice President Approver should provide subject matter expertise to review and sign off New Customer Acquisition applications in Business Banking portfolio managed segment. Candidate should also assist Senior Vice President Business Centre to management the Financial Crime Risk of the Business Banking Portfolio Management within their respective District
Inspect and verify the accuracy, appropriateness and sufficiency of each New Customer Acquisition application to control the completion quality
Provide prompt assessment and execution of New Customer Acquisition application approvals by examining information and documentations collected from customers against both external and internal information and intelligence
Ensure each New Customer Acquisition complies with regulatory, compliance, internal standards and fit for purpose
Resolve all identified issues that arise during the approval process and escalate concerns to management as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns
Provide timely and effective feedback on New Customer Acquisition quality to all Centre case managers
Track the process and approval records for management control and oversight. Vice President Approver should also be accountable in Risk Quality Assurance in their respective Centres
Bachelor degree in business or a related discipline and equivalent experience in banking industry
Knowledge in commercial banking products and systems, regulatory requirements on corporate customers and experience in handling Customer Due Diligence review for corporate customers preferred
Knowledge of risk management and proven experience of ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes and risk control
Comfortable addressing complex issues and escalating to management as necessary
Positive can do attitude and an ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion
Good in time management with strong delivery focus, ability to meet aggressive timeframes and deliver quality results
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detailed oriented combined with good organizational skills and stakeholder management skills
