Citi's UK Commercial Bank division works with business and commercial customers who have annual sales ranging from $50 million to $1.5 billion. As a member of the Commercial Banking team, your job will be to find ways for our clients to maximize their growth while taking full advantage of Citi's banking products. Commercial Bankers are relationship-focused finance professionals responsible for understanding the wide range of complex financial issues facing our clients around the world.
This role is based in London, reporting to the CCB UK Head, with responsibility for building and maintaining Commercial Banking customers' portfolio in the UK (comprised of Middle Market and Mid-Corporate segment). The main responsibility will be to build relationships and provide financial solutions for UK companies. The successful candidate will possess proven experience and skills in relationship development, commercial lending and cross selling multiple banking products.
Active calling and acquiring of CCB customers in the UK.
Managing relationships and providing exceptional service for CCB customers, including selling them cash management, FX, trade and credit product solutions
Monitoring and supporting the products' implementation process
Supporting the international expansion of CCB customers
Managing the customers and transactions within the existing CRM platform
Interaction with other CCB structures across the globe
Verifying adherence to global KYC (Know your customer) standards during the referral management process
Maintaining overall control and accountability for the managed cross-border transactions referrals
Customer acquisition and building customer relationships, with a main focus on mid cap corporate in the UK that have multinational presence
Interaction with risk, product and implementation teams in order to offer the clients best of class services
Must support and influence the sales process by applying business knowledge
Oversee and ensure sound lending activity
Adhere to internal control policies including KYC, completion and updating of all required documentation
Provide strong and visible leadership, foster a positive attitude among team members, clients and prospects
Experience in acquisition and managing a relationship with mid size corporate clients in the UK.
UK Based professional/commercial banking experience as a Relationship Manager
Understanding of banking products for middle market corporate customers
Working knowledge of customer information data flow
Understanding of on-boarding process critical elements
Experience in Commercial / Relationship Banking with international customers
Fluent in English
Additional languages advantageous
