The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution, Commodities Sales and Trading. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy, metals, and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professionals trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.
The Commodities business is looking for a desk strategist at the Associate to VP level, located in New York. The strategist will work closely with the front office trading and origination team in a very dynamic environment.
Pricing and maintenance of power and gas structured transactions
Development of new models for exotic energy structures
Data analysis pertaining to power and gas historical settles
Experience with financial derivatives, such as spread options
Knowledge of power and gas markets in the US is preferred
Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, and C
Strong verbal and written communication skills
2+ years of relevant experience is preferred
Advanced degree in Physics, Math, Finance or a related quantitative field
