Purpose of Job
Working in partnership with the Associate Director, HR Business Partner and other team members to drive and implement operationally excellent HR services to the business in alignment with the overall business strategy. Demonstrate continual improvement with the business to provide strategic advisory and support services and ensure that they deliver highly effective HR to their clients in order that they can achieve their business goals.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Partnering with the business to analyse and interpret business needs, identify trends and work with the Business Partnering team to translate these into HR initiatives.
Providing experienced advice and guidance in order to support, influence and challenge the business in the implementation of HR policies and procedures in order to ensure better business performance.
Demonstrating a clear understanding of all HR elements of the employee life cycle and policies in order to mitigate legal and reputational risk and to meet business needs.
Responsibility for managing, mediating and facilitating sensitive, delicate or problematic employee relations issues, medical cases to reach a successful resolution, to mitigate grievances and maintain business continuity, with recourse to the Employee Relations Unit as appropriate. Play a key role in keeping a good employee relations environment and a high level of staff engagement and trust.
Coaching clients in the development of their people management skills (leadership, communications etc) to ensure that performance management and trust is improved.
Collaboratively deciding resource planning measures, succession planning and talent development with the business and Talent Management team and identify short/long term solutions to achieve appropriate staffing to meet needs.
Analysing, interpreting and using various HR metrics and KPIs to provide guidance to the business.
Providing organisational effectiveness support, including analysing organisational design, developing high performing teams and increasing cooperation between departments.
Leading organisational change within the bank by providing change management strategies, stakeholder analysis and defining and implementing communications.
Working collaboratively with HR Client Services and across all Business Partner teams in order that the business receives a fast, accurate and high quality service.
Working collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team in order to ensure that the Bank recruits the best talent Providing value-added assessment of the quality of short-listed candidates, interviewing and assessing final candidates, and proceeding to offer using insights gleaned by Talent Acquisition colleagues earlier in the selection process.
Record-keeping to underpin sound administration of Bank personnel: Documenting and filing an accurate audit trail to clarify policy decisions and/or to document rationale for policy variations in the realms of reward and employee lifecycle events. Ensuring adequate details are kept and filed correctly so that any future recollection of a decision is fully captured and easily retrievable. Documenting and accurately filing contemporaneous notes of manager/employee meetings about pertinent HR matters (includes using template chronology document).
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Extensive and proven professional HR generalist experience, preferably gained in the financial services sector.
Graduate (minimum degree) in relevant discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
CIPD or equivalent.
Proven track record of delivering results.
Experience of operating with excellent judgement in a demanding client facing role.
Strong partnership, influencing, problem solving and client orientation skills to enable positive engagement with stakeholders throughout the Bank.
Skills in facilitation, counselling and mediation.
Change management, succession and workforce planning and talent management experience.
Fluency in English both written and oral.
Be a role model for the EBRD values (and show evidence).
Experience of working in a multi-national environment with a dispersed workforce.
A constant requirement to interface with clients, often on personal or sensitive issues, from a vast range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds which requires consistent amendments to the individual's personal style in order to successfully engage with the clients.

The requirement to stay up to date with the changes in policies and procedures to be assured of providing the correct advice at the point of request. Ensure best practice initiatives are followed.
